Natures Aid Cod Liver Oil Plus Omega-3 Fish Oil Liquid (500ml). A cod liver oil and fish oil food supplement in liquid form. Each 5ml teaspoon provides 4585mg of cod liver oil and fish oil, typically giving 1190mg of omega-3 fatty acids (of which 367mg EPA and 413mg DHA), 600µg of vitamin A (75% NRV) and 5µg of vitamin D (100% NRV). Adults and children over 5: 10ml (two teaspoons) a day; children 1 to 5: 5ml a day. Contains fish. Free from GM, gluten, wheat, yeast, dairy, lactose, nuts, soya, salt, sugar and starch. Ingredients: cod liver oil (fish) (51%), fish oil (49%), vitamin A preparation (vitamin A, sunflower oil, antioxidant tocopherols), vitamin D preparation (medium chain triglyceride oil, vitamin D, antioxidant tocopherols). 500ml bottle.

The beneficial effect for the heart is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA. The beneficial effects for brain function and vision are obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA. Cod liver oil is best avoided by pregnant women, asthmatics and diabetics. Because of its antithrombotic effect, haemophiliacs and those taking warfarin should exercise caution.
